Sienna Earth Landscape Design & Construction who are a Surrey based company renouned for high end quality garden, grass tennis court and croquet lawn design and build projects approached us in the early stages of a large private estate garden renovation project to discuss flexible ways of delivering high quality lawns whilst demonstrating best value to their long term client.
One of the areas out of a total of almost 4,000m2 of lawn work eventually completed was a formal feature avenue of 308m2. The original lawn was weedkilled, striped and the soil improved for nutrition and drainage whilst soft landscaping works and installation of the irrigation took place. To compliment the new mature box hedge planting and overall formal design a very high quality lawn was required. A grass seed more commonly used for fine sports surfaces was selected for its close cut tolerance and excellent year round colour. The addition of our specialist fertilisers and bio-stimulants (used in all our applications) this notoriously difficult to germinate seed mixture did so in just 7 days and by day 19 the strongly emerging lawn required its first cut.
It was a true example of the benefits of choosing a Spray Lawn and how the mulch delivers not only stabilisation for the seed but a perfect micro-environment for the seeds to germinate in - providing; moisture, warmth and nutrition to the young grass plants for a perfect start.
